Membership to the CIO Forum is open to Chief Information Officers, IT Professionals, Academics, Corporates, Industry, Government, University Institutions and other stakeholders.

Participation and involvement in the CIO Forum is free of charge.
The CIO Forum is primarily a Managed Social Network (i.e. we have dedicated people making use of online Social
Networking sites such as LinkedIn) with the aim of connecting individuals who want to make a difference.
It is based on an informal grass roots community network that has evolved and developed over a number of years.
It is driven by people who are passionate about social issues and Social Innovation.
We operate as a Social Enterprise as a means of sustaining our initiatives and we do not rely
on public or private funding to maintain our network.
We also strive to maintain our independence and to avoid bureaucratic structures.

Becoming a paid-up annual professional member provides a number of benefits and helps to fund
work to support projects and services undertaken by the CIO Forum.
Paid-up members gain access to specific databases or repositories of projects and documents such as
graduate and internship programs.
Costs to events that we organize and charge for are discounted to paid-up members.
