Cloud Services for the Enterprise
Through our research centre, CenCRA, we will be growing our research focus on "Enterprise Cloud Services".
This involves the following areas of focus:
- Enterprise Cloud Architecture: what constitutes ECS
- Cloud Services Management: enabling ease of management and delivery
- Cloud Services Development: application and software development on the cloud for mobile and hand held devices as well as the enterprise
Cloud Services for the Enterprise will be the new form of desktop support and the basis for user satisfaction.
The back end infrastructure and network will not be a primary issue of concern as the complexities of
implementation and support will be replaced by new service providers and provisioning options.
Individual participants who wish to qualify at a Master or Doctorate level on Enterprise Cloud Computing
will benefit from this research focus. We have developed an activity research group in areas such as
"Enterprise Architecture" and are developing our capacity to support action and design research methodologies.
We believe our approach towards research can support innovation and practical industry requirements to
become competitive in a global market.
We are looking for partners such as IT managers, service providers and companies who want to participate
in developing a body of knowledge as well as project initiatives to promote local innovation.
